Logo Competition

Thank you for the entries. Swimmers are to be asked to judge which they think would be the best and the winner will be notified during this month. Hopefully the new logo will be available on T shirts from January.

Congratulations

Sophie has now passed her level 2 qualification and the committee has appointed her to the position of Assistant Coach. Many of you will have noticed the impact she is already having on the swimmers, especially with her attendance at outside galas both in and out of the water. Before moving to Bradford, Sophie began her competitive swimming career with Halifax Swimming Club. She came back to help as a poolside volunteer after the School’s Gala in 2008 and would like to follow a career in coaching. We should feel really proud she has chosen Halifax and that we can play a part in helping her to reach her dream. Well done Sophie and welcome to Halifax Swimming Club.

New arrival

One of the club’s teacher’s, Jayne Dyson gave birth to a daughter, Amelia Jane on Monday 19th October.  Jayne is hoping to be back with us soon. Congratulations.

Team Halifax

A team from Halifax joined Bingley Swimming club for their Invitation meet on 24th October. The Halifax team won the event quite easily. Well done to you all and thank you for representing our club. Thanks also to the parents who helped in any way. Competition for a place in the team in future will be fierce.
