Trophy winners
Now gala 5 has been completed we can begin to determine the trophy winners for some events and a list will be published when all has
been verified.
Annual General Meeting
The Annual General Meeting will take place on Monday 22nd November at the Ivy House,
Holmfield at 7.30p.m. Rule number 3.1 states “All persons who assist in any way with the club’s activities shall become members of the club and hence of the A.S.A. and the relevant A.S.A. membership fee shall be paid.” If you help the club in any way and have completed a membership form you will be entitled to a vote.
Nominations for the committee are now being sought. There will be a nomination form at the front desk on Thursday.
Other people can only have a vote upon payment of a membership fee.
Annual Reports for the AGM will be circulated before the meeting.
Schools Gala
Please remember that this gala will take place Friday 19th November at 8.00p.m. There will be no training session that night. Good luck to all our swimmers who are entered into this competition.
Invitation Meet
Teams from Spenborough, Bradford Dolphins,
Bradford Swimming Club and Bingley will be
joining us for the Invitation Meet on Saturday
13th November. It’s usually a very exciting
competition.
All welcome to watch.
Bagpack
Many thanks to those who have volunteered
to help with the Bagpack at Asda on Sunday
7th November. There is still time to come
forward if you can help. The store is open
from 10.00a.m till 4.00p.m. and we shall have
cover at some of the tills throughout the day.
Swimmers should wear a club Tshirt. Your
help is greatly appreciated. The money raised
will be used to buy new training equipment
and some trophies that are needed for
Presentation Evening.
Catherine and Christine
will be there at 10.00 to start you off.
Standback Observers
The next training session will be this coming
Thursday 4th November at 7.15p.m and 8.00p.m.
Each session lasts for approximately 30minutes.
Please meet by the chair at the learner pool.
Thanks to those who have already volunteered.
Christmas Sprint Meet Barnsley B/C Grade
11th December at Ponds Forge. Closing date for
entries is this coming Saturday.
All Elite and Junior
Elite swimmers ought to be entering this gala. I’m
just waiting for confirmation from Barnsley that
there are still places available. If there are, I will
send out more details but the entries must come to
the front desk on THURSDAY (4th) with entry fee
of £4 per swim and I will make sure the entry forms
are posted on Friday. A ‘C’ grade meet is essential
for those swimmers who have not attended a
graded meet before to make sure the swimmers’
details get on to the ASA database.
Look at the
Borough of Barnsley Swimming Club website if you
want full details.
Minimum age is 9ys on the day of
competition.
