Raine makes finals at ASA Summer Nationals

Pond’s Forge, Sheffield - Andrew Raine, competing as a 17-year-old in the 50 fly, swam 4/10's of a second slower than his PB, in a time of 26.71 to make the finals. Andrew finished 10th, swimming 26.76 in a field so tight, less than a second separated the finalists.

Andrew also swam the 200 fly, but two seconds slower than his PB, yet still finishing 14th overall.

Lewis Wainwright, 14, took nearly half a second off his 50 fly time that won him silver at the North Easterns in May. Lewis finished 13th overall in a time of 26.76, which currently ranks him 2nd in the North East among swimmers aged 14 on 31 December.
