Sunderland: Andrew Raine, swimming as a 17 year-old, picked up bronze in the 50m fly final on Saturday, swimming 26.28, which will give him a top ten national ranking this week. He also swam PBs and qualified for the finals in the 100m fly (59.05) and the 200m fly (2:16.90).
Matthew Greidanus, swimming as a 16 year-old, smashed his 200m breaststroke time by five seconds, swimming 2:36.21 to finish 11th as first-reserve finalist. He also swam 33.19 in the 50m breast, 1:12.37 in the 100m breast and 2:26.98 in the 200m IM.
Greidanus and Raine now have to wait to see where their times land them in the rankings when the window for the British and English nationals close on 30 May.
